Dear Parents,
Day 2 got off to a nice start as we enjoyed pleasant weather in the morning while campers woke up, got ready for the day and headed to the dining room for breakfast. The nice weather didn't last all day, but our stormy weather was nice enough to come just before lunch. We welcomed our grade 1 and 2 campers this morning and our grades 3-5 campers got their full morning of activities in before it started to get too stormy.
We rearranged some activities in the afternoon, but, for the most part, it was business as usual at Camp Taiwan today.
Teams followed this schedule.
Blue Team: River tracing, giant swing, lunch, wide game, archery
Green Team: Giant swing, rock climbing, lunch, wide game, crafts
Yellow Team: Rock climbing, river tracing, lunch, wide game, giant swing
Brown Team (grades 1-2): Check-in, cooperative games, lunch, wide game, bouldering
Right now campers are on the way back to their tent areas for shower time. We will have a nice big dinner tonight and then write in the camp journals all about the day's events. Tonight's evening program is our campfire. Campers will sing songs, play games, and, of course, roast marshmallows for S'mores. It will be a nice end to a rainy camp day!
Please find a Dropbox Link below. Photos will be uploaded to this folder each day by 8 p.m.
Goodbye from Camp Taiwan,
Mike
