We began our last full day at Camp Taiwan under sunny skies and with plenty of excitement in the air. After a big breakfast, campers jumped right into their final two blocks of free choice activities—the same program we introduced yesterday. Because teams are mixed for these sessions, be sure to browse through each activity folder when you look for photos—your camper might have been anywhere.

Following lunch and a short rest, the whole camp gathered for a wide game called Sushi Go. Inspired by the board game but reimagined for the outdoors, this version had campers dashing around to collect sushi cards and trade with others in an effort to complete the perfect bento box. It combined quick thinking, teamwork, and a bit of running around for an afternoon full of laughter.

In the last activity period, campers regrouped with their teams to prepare skits, songs, or dances for tonight’s closing campfire. This is always a highlight of the week—a chance for creativity, comedy, and sometimes unexpected talent to shine. Teams brainstormed, wrote scripts, and rehearsed, with counselors offering guidance when needed.

Tonight, we’ll gather for our traditional closing campfire, enjoying the performances the campers have been putting together. We’ll sing classic camp songs, share a short ceremony to celebrate the week’s achievements, and honor our returning campers, some of whom have been part of our summers for years. And of course, no campfire would be complete without s’mores.

Looking back, we’ve been incredibly fortunate with the weather, especially given the forecasts at the start of the week. Most days were bright and sunny, and even our one cloudy day brought only a little rain. It’s been the perfect close to another fantastic summer at Camp Taiwan.

Be sure to check today’s photos, and don’t miss tomorrow’s post where we’ll share the full album, along with a slideshow and highlight video. Watching them together is a great way for your camper to relive their adventures and share stories with you. Remember to download your favorite shots soon—this blog page will only be available for a short time, though the Dropbox link will stay active a bit longer if you need more time.

That wraps up tonight’s post. Thank you for being part of our Camp Taiwan summer—we can’t wait to welcome you back next year!
