Dear Parents,
Our first day for the second group of grade four campers got off to a good start. Arriving campers were very excited and after they had all their things off the bus, we got them to their tents to drop off their bags. Before long, we all gathered in the main hall to go over the important safety rules of camp. Campers with medicine checked in with the nurse, we had snacks, and then it was off to activities. Teams followed this schedule.
Red Team: Check in/rules, archery, lunch, giant swing, wide game
Blue Team: Check in/rules, giant swing, lunch, ecology, wide game
Green Team: Check in/rules, ecology, lunch, rock climbing, wide game
Yellow Team: Check in/rules, rock climbing, lunch, tie dye, wide game
Orange Team: Check in/rules, tie dye, lunch, zip line, wide game
Right now, campers are heading to the tent area to shower and get ready for dinner. Soon, they will be back up in the main hall for a big dinner. After dinner, they will write all about their day in their camp journals before we begin our evening program. Tonight is our opening campfire. We will sing songs, play games, and roast marshmallows for S'mores!
