Dear Parents,
The rain stayed away in the morning and the campers made the most of it by packing lots of fun in before lunch. The first morning of waking up at camp, however, meant many campers were up early -- very early. Couple that with the excitement of camp and we had a very noisy start to day two. Hopefully, we have tired them out today and they will sleep in a little longer tomorrow.
Counselors had their area meetings early this morning and then got their campers ready for the day. Soon, we all gathered in the main hall for a big breakfast. The campers and counselors needed the energy as we had two activity periods before lunch and two more after.
Teams followed this schedule today.
Red Team: Pillo Polo, ecology, lunch, river tracing, tent time
Orange Team: Ecology, river tracing, lunch, archery, tent time
Brown Team: River tracing, archery, lunch, rock climbing, tent time
Yellow Team: Rock climbing, crafts, lunch, cooperative games, tent time
Pink Team: Archery, rock climbing, lunch, crafts, tent time
Light Blue Team: Crafts, cooperative games, lunch, giant swing, tent time
Gray Team: Two-line bridge, cooperative games, lunch, zip line, crafts
Campers have headed down for shower time. Tonight, after dinner and journals, they will spread out around camp for the night wide game. It will be a noisy affair sure to disappoint the local wildlife.
