Dear Parents,
We had another beautiful day of weather at Camp Taiwan. I am also pleased to report that campers slept in a little later today than they did yesterday. Once they were awake, counselors led their tent meetings and made sure the children were prepared for all they had on their schedule for the day. After breakfast, we got right into the activities. Campers had two activities before lunch and two more after.
Teams followed this schedule.
Red Team: Tent time, ecology, lunch, river tracing, wide game
Purple Team: Tent time, river tracing, lunch, ecology, wide game
Green Team: Tent time, basketball, lunch, slackline, wide game
Blue Team: Tent time, slackline, lunch, basketball, wide game
Brown Team: Tent time, archery, lunch, rock climbing, wide game
Gray Team (Teens): Big river tracing, lunch, rest, wide game
Campers are getting ready for the wide game now. All campers will be playing a game all over camp together called, Rainbow Tag. It is lots of fun and they will definitely work up a sweat. Luckily, shower time follows, and then dinner and journals. Tonight's evening program is a chance for them to relax and get their second wind before the second half of camp begins tomorrow. Tonight is movie night. We will watch a film on the big screen and enjoy popcorn and a nice, relaxing evening!
