Thursday at Camp Taiwan
It's Thursday, and Camp Taiwan is humming with the easy rhythm of a week that's found its groove. Campers know their tents, their teams, and their favorite activities around camp.
Friendships that were just forming on Monday are now full-blown — tents full of laughing campers and friends cheering loudly for teammates. It's always wonderful to watch everyone settle in.
Today's morning and early-afternoon activities included:
Blue Team: Archery, Frisbee Golf, and Table Top Games
Red Team: Frisbee Golf, Table Top Games, and Cooperative Games
Green Team: Cooperative Games, Climbing, and Archery
Orange Team: Climbing, Archery, and Frisbee Golf
Gray Team: Teens had a whole morning of River Tracing in the big creek near camp. After lunch they got some rest and joined the youth campers for our weekly water wide game.
It's been a warm one today, so we've made sure everyone is drinking plenty of water and reapplying sunscreen between activities.
We had our final afternoon activity which was Water Wide Games, an excellent way to beat the heat where everyone gets soaked and smiles are always plentiful. They are just finishing dinner and everyone sure has worked up an appetite!
Thursday finishes up with Party Night, where counselors will lead a variety of different games and activities in the Dining Hall. Campers get to dance around and either help or compete against each other in various activities, and everyone generally has a great time.
As usual, there is a link to the Dropbox folder with pictures of the day below.
