Campers settled further into the rhythm of camp on Day 2, with everyone getting more comfortable with the routine and the day's activities in full swing. The weather stayed cool and sunny for most of the day, with a few showers passing through.
Today's activities included:
Pink Team (Grades 4 & 5): AM – River Tracing, Slack Line; PM – Frisbee Golf
Brown Team (Grade 6): AM – Cooperative Games, River Tracing; PM – Fire Making
Green Team (Grades 7 & 8): AM – Cat Walk, Crafts; PM – Giant Ladder
Yellow Team (Grades 7 & 8): AM – Crafts, Giant Ladder; PM – Cat Walk
Gray Team (Grades 7 & 8): AM – Zip Line, Cat Walk; PM – Archery
Two of today's activities, Cat Walk and Slack Line, were rarely part of our summer activity lineup — fun, wobbly new challenges that are often the highlight of a school's visit to Camp Taiwan.

To close out the afternoon, the whole camp came together for a Wide Game called Infection. In this exciting game, campers spread out across the campgrounds, dodging and weaving to stay safe as more and more players became "infected," until only the last camper standing was crowned the winner. A downpour came during the final 20 minutes of the activity, but campers kept playing and got soaked. Hot showers and a super tasty dinner followed directly afterwards!
Day 2 finished up with our Party Night. Counselors set up game stations around the Dining Hall, and campers used camp coins to join in games like ball toss and bottle stand. For the last half hour, the Dining Hall turned into a full-on dance party, with campers requesting songs, dancing, and showing off their best moves.
As usual, the link to the Dropbox folder with pictures of the day is below. Please note that you'll have access to this blog for a limited time, so be sure to download any pictures you'd like to keep.
That's a wrap on Day 2! Just one more day of camp adventures to go!
