It was just about noon when 4 buses of excited campers rolled into camp. We started off with a big lunch and then gave everyone a chance to check in to their tents, get their bedding, unpack their luggage, and generally get settled in.
In the afternoon, we started our regular activity periods. We had two 90-minute activity periods this afternoon. The campers are divided into color teams. During the activity periods, the teams rotate through a series of activities. Todays activities included the following:
Blue Team: Archery, Climbing
Pink Team: Climbing, Orienteering
Yellow Team: Orienteering, Giant Swing
Green Team: Giant Swing, Cooperative Games
Orange Team: Cooperative Games, Zip Line

After the activity periods, the kids all went to take showers and get ready for dinner. They are just finishing their dinner now. After dinner, we will have our campfire program. We will sing a few songs, play a few games, and, of course, roast marshmallows for s'mores.
