Dear Parents,
Thursday was another lovely day at camp. As I suspected, campers were much more eager to sleep in this morning. The week of activities has started to catch up with them and many campers didn't wake up until after our morning area meetings. It is my favorite time of the week! Soon, we were all awake and gathered in the main hall for breakfast. Campers had two activities before lunch and two more after.
Teams followed this schedule.
Red Team: Basketball, slackline, lunch, archery, water wide game
Purple Team: Slackline, basketball, lunch, rock climbing, water wide game
Green Team: Ecology, river tracing, lunch, cooperative games, water wide game
Blue Team: River tracing, ecology, lunch, crafts, water wide game
Brown Team: Giant swing, Pillo Polo, lunch, river tracing, water wide game
Gray Team (Teens): Kayaking, lunch, rest, water wide game
Campers are currently participating in the water wide game. It is a series of water games and relays. They are all being very noisy, so camp is quite bustling at the moment. From my desk on the deck of the main hall, I can hear laughter, shrieking, and loud conversations. This will continue tonight because it is party night! Kids will dance, sing songs, play night market-style games and eat some shaved ice. It is a great way to end the day.
Goodbye from Camp Taiwan
