Dear Parents,
Beautiful sunny skies welcomed the Session 7 campers today. Buses left Taipei right on time and smiling counselors greeted campers when they pulled into camp. Once children got off the buses, counselors helped them get unpacked and toured the living areas with them. The nurse checked in with all the campers and then kids were off to play name games and ice breakers with their teams and counselors. By mid-day, we were all gathered for lunch. After the lunchtime break, the teams started on their core activity rotation. Campers followed this schedule.
Red Team: Check-in, Ice-breakers, Lunch/Rest, Rock Climbing, Tie-Dye
Orange Team: Check-in, Ice-breakers, Lunch/Rest, Tie-Dye, Rock Climbing
Brown Team: Check-in, Ice-breakers, Lunch/Rest, Archery, River Tracing
Gray Team: Check-in, Ice-breakers, Lunch/Rest, Rock Climbing, Archery
Campers are about to finish the last activity of the afternoon. They will head back to their living areas to get cleaned up for dinner. After dinner and journals, we will have our opening campfire. Kids will play games, sing songs, and roast marshmallows for S'mores -- a great way to end the first day of camp.
