Dear Parents,
The movie last night served its purpose and campers awoke this morning refreshed and ready for the second half of camp. After a big breakfast, campers headed off to their morning activities. Our teen campers changed into their beach gear and hopped on the bus to go ocean kayaking. Our youth campers had their last team rotation activity in the morning before starting their free choice activities in the afternoon. In free choice activities, all the cmapers are mixed together and they get to choose the activities they like best. Free choice activities this week were archery (for levels), rock climbing (for levels), basketball, zip line, pond play and crafts.
Teams followed this schedule.
Purple Team: Cooperative games, wide game, lunch, free choice activities
Red Team: Crafts, wide game, lunch, free choice activities
Yellow Team: Sports (Pillo Polo), wide game, lunch, free choice activities
Blue Team: Ecology, wide game, lunch, free choice activities
Gray Team (teens) 1: Kayaking, lunch, rest, cat walk (high ropes)
Gray Team (teens) 2: Kayaking, lunch, rest, sports (Ultimate Frisbee)
Campers are having showers and will soon head back to the dining room for dinner and journals. Tonight's evening program is party night. It is the time at camp where kids can be carefree and unwind a bit. We have music, treats, games, and lots of fun.
Goodbye from Camp Taiwan,
Mike
As for the Dropbox link below, not all folders will have pictures added every day. The first few days, most pictures are sorted by team, not activity. Some activities lead to more picture taking opportunities. If some teams have more pictures than other teams, we will try and even it out by the end of the week (but no promises!!). We do our best, but our main concern is your campers' safety and programming, pictures are a distant fourth or fifth (even though they may be number one to you). Please note, we will not reply to emails about photos. Enjoy.
Please find a Dropbox Link below. Photos will be uploaded to this folder every evening -- usually by 8 p.m.
