We finally had a day of nice weather right through the day. We were watching the weather all day, and we could see rain on the radar in various places around Taiwan. We just kept wishing it to go in the other direction. It looked pretty iffy for a while in the afternoon, but we made it through the day without getting wet.
We continued with our free-choice activities today. Campers could choose from a second round of river tracing, giant swing, or archery, or they could choose to do a new craft, frisbee golf, or zipline. If they chose archery, they could test for a level 1 or 2 sticker.
In all, they had 3 periods of free-choice activities. For their final period, the campers prepare a skit to perform at the closing campfire. We judge the performances and the winning team gets the coveted Oscar sticker at tomorrow's closing. In addition to the skits, we also play some games, sing some songs, and have a few closing rituals. We just hope that the weather continues to cooperate.
A couple of quick housekeeping notes: When you pick up your campers tomorrow, please remember to park in one of the nearby parking garages and leave the yellow lines on the curb so that we can park our buses to unload the campers. Pickup is at 3:00 pm. Don't forget to bring the pickup card you were given when you dropped off your camper.
Photos: Below is a link to today's photos. Tomorrow, I will post a link to the entire week's photos, including an end of week slideshow and video. We suggest watching it with your child. It is a great way for them to share their experiences with you.
The link will only remain on the blog for a short time. However, the link will remain active. If you copy the link and save it, you will be able to access the pictures for the foreseeable future.
