What a day it’s been in the hills of Wanli! The sun was out in full force, and by the afternoon, it had warmed up enough to make us all appreciate a bit of shade. It was the kind of day that makes you glad to be outside—ideal for everything camp has to offer.
Last night’s campfire was one to remember. It was a bit too cloudy to see the stars, but there was no rain, so we were able to hold it outside. Being outdoors just adds that extra bit of magic, and despite being a smaller group, the campers really brought the energy.
The action started early this morning, and the teams were off to their scheduled activities:
Blue Team spent their morning tie-dyeing and climbing, then cooled off with some river tracing in the afternoon.
Gray Team kicked off with climbing and river tracing, followed by archery later in the day.
Brown Team rotated through archery and the zip line before heading to the climbing wall in the afternoon.
Everyone pushed themselves, cheered each other on, and came back smiling—and maybe a little sweaty.
This afternoon’s all-camp game was “Hunt and Chase,” one of our favorite wide games. Campers were split into mixed teams, each with a color-coded bandana. The goal? Track down and tag other colors! But here’s the twist—get tagged, and you switch sides. It’s a fast-paced, high-energy game that turns teammates into rivals and back again. The team with the most members by the end takes the win.
After the game, campers had a chance to wash up and wind down before dinner. Now they’re writing in their journals and getting ready for tonight’s big event: Bigfoot. This counselor-vs-camper challenge is a wild mix of hide-and-seek and tag—with a few surprises thrown in. But we’ll let your kids fill you in on the rest when they get home.
Again, there is a Dropbox folder with pictures of the day's events. Be sure to download the pictures you wish to save.

Want More Camp Taiwan?
If your child enjoyed their stay at Camp Taiwan and you want a bit more, there are a couple of options.
Summer Camp
We have weekly sessions of our regular English summer camp in July and August and our Mandarin program from June 7th to 11th. Summer camp is a great opportunity for kids to develop confidence and independence by trying new things in a supportive atmosphere.
Family Camp
Family Camps are a way for the whole family to share in the fun and adventure of Camp Taiwan. Groups of 10 to 15 families ( Minimum 40 people) book the whole site and come share in the activities that your children have been telling you about. It is a great way to get to know the families of your child's classmates or your coworkers.
