The weather has been better today than it was yesterday. It was still cloudy and cool, but it didn't rain at all, so we are all very happy about that.

The kids seemed to have a good night. They woke up bright and early and ready to start the day. We continued with our rotation activities today. The teams had the following activities.

Blue Team: Orienteering, Giant Swing, Crafts,

Yellow Team: Crafts, Orienteering, Archery

Green Team: Zip Line, Archery, Climbing

Orange Team: Archery, Climbing, Orienteering

There is one activity here that wasn't on the schedule yesterday, Orienteering. The campers get a quick overview of how to read a compass and a map. They are then sent out to find a number of stations around camp where they have to punch their cards. At the end, they come back to the dining hall to complete a puzzle.

For our final activity period we had a wide game, which is a game that the whole camp participates in together. Today's game was a version of Capture the flag. Two teams face off against each other on opposite sides of a field. There are a number of flags inside a hula hoop at each end of the field. If you can dash across the field and into the hula hoop without being tagged, you can remain there safely. If you get tagged, you go to "jail." Anyone who makes it to a hula hoop has the option of taking a flag and dashing back to the other side of the field or going to the jail and saving one of their captured teammates. The game ends when all the flags of one team have been captured.

The campers have all had their showers and are eating dinner now. As last night, the campers will have a few minutes to write in their journals before our evening program. Tonight, we will have our party night. The counselors and teachers cooperate to run a number of game booths like you would find in a Taiwanese night market or an American carnival. The campers are given a number of tokens that they can spend to play the games. At the end of the night, we turn down the lights and it becomes a big dance party.

That is all for today. Please check out the link to the photos below. Tomorrow I will post a link to all the photos of the entire trip, so please be sure to check back.
