It’s been a little cloudy and rainy here at Camp Taiwan, but that hasn’t stopped us from having a great time. The campers arrived full of energy and excitement—ready to begin, even with a light drizzle!
Because this is a smaller group, we’ve divided the campers into just two teams: the Red Team and the Blue Team. Each team has 9 campers, and over the next three days, they’ll rotate through a variety of fun and engaging activities. Each day includes two 90-minute activity periods in the morning and two more in the afternoon.
This morning, the Blue Team started with archery, practicing their aim and focus. Meanwhile, the Red Team got creative by making their own tie-dye T-shirts. First, they drew their own designs on the shirts. Then they twisted and folded the fabric into different shapes and secured them with rubber bands. Finally, they added colorful dye. The final designs will stay a surprise until the shirts are unwrapped at home! We’ll also send care instructions, as the shirts will need a special wash the first time.
After enjoying a spaghetti lunch, the teams switched. The Red Team took their turn at archery, while the Blue Team made their tie-dye shirts.
For the last activity period of the day, all campers joined together for a whole-camp program. Normally we’d play an outdoor game, but because of the rain, we moved indoors and played a series of fun relay games. Some were competitive, some required teamwork and strategy, and others were just plain silly. Everyone had a blast.
Afterwards, the campers took showers and got ready for dinner. As we write this, they’re finishing up their meal. After dinner, they’ll spend a little time journaling about their day, followed by our evening campfire program. We’ll sing songs, play games, and of course, roast marshmallows for s’mores!

Want More Camp Taiwan?
If your child enjoyed their stay at Camp Taiwan and you want a bit more, there are a couple of options.
Summer Camp
We have weekly sessions of our regular English summer camp in July and August and our Mandarin program from June 7th to 11th. Summer camp is a great opportunity for kids to develop confidence and independence by trying new things in a supportive atmosphere.
Family Camp
Family Camps are a way for the whole family to share in the fun and adventure of Camp Taiwan. Groups of 10 to 15 families ( Minimum 40 people) book the whole site and come share in the activities that your children have been telling you about. It is a great way to get to know the families of your child's classmates or your coworkers.
