Dear Parents,
We had a great start to the TYAS camp today. Buses arrived right on time, and before long we had the kids unloaded and on their way to the main hall to learn some of the rules of camp. Students had a snack, checked in with the nurse and then took their bags to get unpacked in their tents. Once we were back in the main hall, we played some warm up games and then got ready for lunch.
After lunch, the teams had two activity periods. They started their rotation through the grade 3-5 activities and then everyone gathered for a camp wide game.
Teams followed this schedule.
Blue Team: Check-in, games, lunch, rock climbing, wide game
Green Team: Check-in, games, lunch, river tracing, wide game
Yellow Team: Check-in, games, lunch, zip line, wide game
Right now campers are on the way back to their tent areas for shower time. After showers, campers will have dinner and then we will start our evening program. Tonight's evening program is an indoor activity called Four Corners. It should be a nice way to end the first day of camp.
