It has been another beautiful fall day here at Camp Taiwan. The kids woke up bright and early, maybe a little too early. They were full of energy and ready to go by the time they came up to breakfast.
We continued with our rotation activities. The teams had the following schedules.
Pink Team: Giant Swing, Archery, Climbing
Yellow Team: Ecology, Giant Swing, Archery
Gray Team: Zip Line, Ecology, Giant Swing
Purple Team: Crafts, Zip Line, Ecology
Brown Team: Orienteering, Crafts, Zip Line
For our final activity period, we had another wide game. This time it was a water wide game, consisting of a series of stations where the campers challenge either each other or the counselors. All the games involve splashing, spraying or dumping water. It is a lot of fun and a great way to end a hot day. Be sure to check out the photos in the "whole camp activity" folder.
After the water game, the campers all returned to their tents to shower and get ready for dinner. They are just finishing their dinner now, and then they will have a little while to write in their journals before our evening program.
Tonight we have our party night. It is one of the favorite activities for both campers and counselors. The counselors and teachers will run series of booths similar to what you might find in an American carnival or Taiwanese night market. The kids get tokens that they can use to play the games. At the end of the night, we turn up the music and turn down the lights for a big dance party.
That is all for tonight. Remember to check out the photos of the day at the link below. Note that anyone with the link should be able to access the photos, so there is no need to request any further access.
Best regards,
The Camp Taiwan Team
