Tuesday was a wet one at Camp Taiwan. Rain fell from morning to evening, and campers (and teachers!) zipped up their raincoats and carried on with the day's activities like troopers. Thank you for bringing real camp spirit, teachers!
Today's activities included:
Yellow Team: AM – Ecology, Giant Swing; PM – Archery
Green Team: AM – Giant Swing, Ecology; PM – Climbing
Red Team: AM – Climbing, Zip Line; PM – Ecology
Blue Team: AM – Zip Line, Orienteering; PM – Giant Swing
Purple Team: AM – Archery, Climbing; PM – Zip Line
Our first afternoon activity was a soaker, so we changed the schedule and sent everyone to their tent areas to wash off, warm up and change into snug clothes for the rest of the day. After their showers, campers came up to the Dining Hall for Tabletop Games. The room was filled with laughter as campers sipped hot chocolate with their friends after a challenging but rewarding day outside. A deliciously hot dinner of chicken, rice and veggies (with fruit for dessert!) fueled everyone up for our final Day 2 activity.
Day 2 finished up with our Party Night. Counselors ran carnival-style games at stations around the Dining Hall, and then the music went on and the room became a dance floor.
As usual, there is a link to the Dropbox folder with pictures of the day below.
Day 2 is done, and the rain didn't slow anyone down. One more morning of camp to come!
