Day 2 brought more beautiful weather, with slightly cloudier skies and a nice breeze that helped keep campers cool during activities. Everyone was up early and, since many of them have been here before, campers slipped easily into the rhythm of the day.

Today's activities included:

Green Team: AM – Giant Swing, Archery; PM – Climbing

Yellow Team: AM – Ecology, Giant Swing; PM – Archery

Blue Team: AM – Zip Line, Ecology; PM – Giant Swing

Orange Team: AM – Crafts, Zip Line; PM – Ecology

Brown Team: AM – Orienteering, Crafts; PM – Zip Line

Today also brought a fresh activity to this week's lineup: the Giant Swing! Campers learned how to put on a harness securely and, after a safety check by our trained staff, were pulled up by their teammates. Our high-ropes activities are "challenge by choice," which means participants choose how high on the swing they want to go. Once they've reached their preferred max, they take a deep breath and pull the release themselves to swing way out over the hillside. It takes a bit of courage, and the cheers from teammates and counselors below helped campers reach new heights!

After lunch and before the campers went back to their tents to rest before a packed afternoon of activities, we had the pleasure of wishing a Happy Birthday to Audrey! It is always so nice when we get to share a birthday with a new (or returning) friend at camp!

Though not as hot as yesterday, it was still a warm afternoon, so the timing couldn't have been better for our final activity of the day, the Water Wide Games! The whole camp came together for a round of splashing, soaking fun. It was the perfect way to cool off, and there was hardly a dry camper (or counselor!) in sight by the end. Hot showers and a delicious dinner (homemade mac 'n cheese, and more!) followed right afterwards.

Day 2 finished up with our Party Night. Counselors set up game stations around the Dining Hall, and campers played carnival-style games. To finish off the night, the Dining Hall turned into a full-on dance party, with campers requesting songs, dancing, and showing off their best moves.

As usual, there is a link to the Dropbox folder with pictures of the day below. The Whole Camp activity pictures from yesterday didn't make it into Dropbox before we posted last night, so today's Whole Camp folder contains both Wednesday (Battleship!) and Thursday (Water Wide Games!) photos.

That's a wrap on Day 2! One more day of camp adventures to go!
