Dear Parents,
Excited campers awoke early today (too early if you ask sleepy counselors) excited to start their day. Counselors had area meetings at 650 a.m. and campers were already poking their heads out of their tents to see what we were all talking about. Soon, the meetings were over and counselors were preparing their campers for the activities on the schedule for the day. After a big breakfast of French toast, sausages, scrambled eggs, fruit, and cereal, we were off to activities.
Teams followed this schedule today.
Red Team: Pillo Polo, ecology, lunch, river tracing, tent time
Orange Team: Ecology, river tracing, lunch, archery, tent time
Brown Team: River tracing, archery, lunch, rock climbing, tent time
Yellow Team: Rock climbing, crafts, lunch, cooperative games, tent time
Pink Team: Archery, rock climbing, lunch, crafts, tent time
Light Blue Team: Crafts, cooperative games, lunch, giant swing, tent time
Gray Team (A) (Teens): Cat walk, Ultimate Frisbee, lunch, crafts, zip line
Gray Team (B) (Teens): Crafts, cat walk, lunch, zip line, Ultimate Frisbee
Campers are about to finish up their showers and head back to the main hall for dinner. After dinner and journals tonight is our evening program -- the night camp-wide game. Campers will spread out around camp in their teams with flashlights and try to win the game.
