Dear Parents,
Summer 2023 got off to a great start with nice weather and smiling campers. Parents and children met the buses this morning in Taipei and soon we were off to camp. We arrived right on time and counselors greeted the children as they got off the buses. Everyone checked into their tents and took a tour of their living areas. Campers then checked in with the nurse before teams gathered to play some warm up games to get to know their new friends. Before long everyone met in the main hall to go over the important camp safety rules -- then we got started on activities.
Teams followed this schedule today.
Orange Team: Arrive, check-in, rock climbing, lunch, tie-dye, Pillo Polo
Green Team: Arrive, check-in, Pillo Polo, lunch, rock climbing, tie-dye
Right now, campers are heading to their living areas to shower and get cleaned up for dinner. After dinner, campers will write about their day in their camp journals and then we have our opening campfire. It should be a great way to end the first day of camp.
