Dear Parents,
We had even more excellent weather on the second day of camp. Campers were up early with excitement as they woke up at camp for the first time. Counselors had early morning meetings to go over schedules and campers' activities. Then it was time for counselors and campers to have their tent meetings. This is a chance for the campers to make sure they have everything prepared for what they will need that day. Counselors also go over the rules and expectations for the day again with them. Soon, we were all gathered in the dining room for a big breakfast. Campers needed the energy as they had two activities before lunch and two more after.
Teams followed this schedule today.
Red Team: Rock climbing, crafts, lunch, cooperative games, wide game
Green Team: Crafts, cooperative games, lunch, archery, wide game
Blue Team: Pillo Polo, giant swing, lunch, cooperative games, wide game
Brown Team: Slackline, basketball, lunch, ecology, wide game
Gray Team (Teens): Zip line, archery, lunch, orienteering, giant ladder
Right now, youth campers are starting the wide game and teens are getting ready to attempt the giant ladder. Tonight after dinner and journals, campers will play another camp-wide game. Today is one of the most active days of camp which means, hopefully, that campers will sleep in a little later tomorrow!
