Dear Parents,
Campers were treated to perfect weather today. Not too hot, no rain, and a nice breeze to cool everyone off when it got a bit warm at midday. The first morning waking up at camp is always an exciting one. Campers are up very early on the second day. As the week goes on, they start to sleep in later and later as they get more and more tired. After morning meetings at 7 a.m. campers began preparing for their day's activities. Campers had two activity periods before lunch and two more after.
Teams followed this schedule today.
Red Team: Cooperative games, crafts, lunch, rock climbing, wide game
Purple Team: Crafts, cooperative games, lunch, archery, wide game
Green Team: Giant swing, Pillo Polo, lunch, crafts, wide game
Blue Team: Pillo Polo, giant swing, lunch, cooperative games, wide game
Brown Team: Slackline, basketball, lunch, ecology, wide game
Gray Team (Teens): Archery, crafts, lunch, zip line, orienteering
Right now, campers are in the middle of the second afternoon activity. Afterwards, they will head to the showers to get cleaned up for dinner. After dinner and journal writing, we will have another outdoor activity -- the night wide game. Kids should be pretty tired tonight. Maybe they will sleep in until 7 tomorrow!
