Dear Parents,
Beautiful weather and the laughter of campers drenched Camp Taiwan today. It was one of those days at camp where you can't imagine being anywhere else. Campers woke up right on time and heaeded to breakfast talking about their free choice activities later in the day. Right after breakfast, our teen campers started getting their gear on for Big River Tracing. Once they set off, youth campers began dispersing to their various free choice activities. They could choose from archery (for levels), rock climbing (for levels), zip line, pond play, crafts or basketball. It is fun to watch campers mix with kids from other teams and make more friends in the process. Youth campers had two activities before lunch and one more after lunch before rejoining their teams to get ready for tonight's campfire performances.
The teens went into the big river for a half-day river tracing activity. They returned wet and tired to lunch and then had a nice rest in the afternoon. Once they'd recovered, they, too began preparing for the closing campfire.
The closing campfire after dinner tonight is the main event of the week. Campers will write highlights of their week and wishes for next week's campers. Long time returning campers will burn the wishes that campers last week wrote for them. Campers and counselors like the closing campfire because of the performances. Teams will compete to win the "Oscar" award. Before they board buses tomorrow, we will announce the winners at our closing. This week has gone so fast.

As for the Dropbox link below, not all folders will have pictures added every day. The first few days, most pictures are sorted by team, not activity. Some activities lead to more picture taking opportunities. If some teams have more pictures than other teams, we will try and even it out by the end of the week (but no promises!!). We do our best, but our main concern is your campers' safety and programming, pictures are a distant fourth or fifth (even though they may be number one to you). Please note, we will not reply to emails about photos. Enjoy.
