Morrison Taichung: Day 1

Updated: Nov 25

I won't lie, it has been a bit of a wet day. The rain hasn't been extremely heavy, but it has been pretty constant throughout the day. Fortunately, this seems like a very cheerful group of kids and they appear to be making the most of the experience and keeping a positive attitude despite the weather. They have been a real pleasure to work with so far.

We had two ninety-minute activity periods this afternoon. The students are divided into two teams, Yellow and Blue, and they took turns doing archery and the zipline. Both afford partial cover to get out of the rain, although there is a bit of a chance to get wet as well. If you are not sure what those activities entail, you can see a bit more about them and some of the other activities we have on this post.

After the second activity period, the campers had a chance to take showers and get warm and dry. They are just finishing up their dinner now, after which, we will have our evening program. Tonight's program will consist of a campfire, where we will sing songs, play some games, and roast marshmallows for smores. Because of the weather, the campfire will be held under a roof. Everyone will go to bed warm and dry.

You can see pictures of your children at the following link. Please note that this link will only be on the blog for a few days. When the next group arrives at Camp (on Monday), the password to the blog will be changed and the link will be removed from the blog. The link itself will remain active, so if you copy and save the link, you will still be able to see your pictures for the foreseeable future.
