Summer 2021 Session 6 Day 1

Dear Parents,
Session 6 got off to a great start. Nice, cool weather in Taipei made waiting for the bus more tolerable than on a typical summer day. Once to camp, counselors greeted campers and led them to their living areas to unpack and get acquainted with the surroundings. Campers checked in with the nurse and then it was time to play name games and ice breakers to get to know their teams better. Because of some last-minute registration changes, we have combined some orange team boys with the pink team to make a co-ed red team. The living areas are still separate, of course. Brown team and Gray team were not affected by any changes. Teams followed this schedule.
Brown Team: Arrival/Check-in, Lunch/Rest, Archery, River Tracing
Orange Team: Arrival/Check-in, Lunch/Rest, Tie-dye, Rock Climbing
Red Team: Arrival/Check-in, Lunch/Rest, Cooperative Games, Tie-dye
Gray Team: Arrival/Check-in, Lunch/Rest, Cooperative Games, Archery
It is early afternoon here at camp. Depending on the weather, we may still have to move some activities around. Regardless of the rain, we will be able to have our evening program tonight as planned -- our opening campfire. There will be singing, games, and marshmallow roasting!
