Summer 2021 Session 5 Day 4
Dear Parents,
It was a beautiful sunny sky this morning as the campers awoke and began their day. After breakfast, sunshine bathed the campers at morning activities and everyone began to remember what summer weather is supposed to be like. Then lunch time arrived and we were cooled off again with cloud cover and rain. Fortunately, it didn't rain too hard and we were able to complete our afternoon schedule as planned. Campers had two activities before lunch and two more after. Teams followed this schedule.
Brown Team: Zipline, Pillo Polo, Lunch/Rest, Slackline, Wide Game
Orange Team: Pillo Polo, Slackline, Lunch/Rest, Basketball, Wide Game
Pink Team: Slackline, Basketball, Lunch/Rest, Shrimping, Wide Game
Gray Team: Hound and Hare Race, Lunch/Rest, Outdoor Living
Teens had a very busy day. In the morning, they played Hound and Hare. One of the counselors took off on a run around camp leaving only a trail of flour. After a certain amount of time, the teens were released to try and chase him down before he completed his route. He almost made it, but they caught him right near the end. In the afternoon, they built fires, rolled dough, and made their own camp pizzas.
Tonight is going to be a fun night. After dinner and journals we have Party Night. Kids will listen to music, play night market-style games and hang out with their new friends until it's time for bed.
