Summer 2020 Session 3 Day 1
Dear Parents,
We had an excellent start to our first full week of Summer 2020. Campers arrived at the buses on time and ready to go in Taipei this morning. Smiling counselors greeted campers on their arrival at camp and took them to check into their tents, yurts and rooms. After unpacking, campers checked in with the nurse and played warm up games with their teams for this week of camp. Before long it was time for lunch and we all gathered in the main hall to officially kick off Session 3. After lunch and a nice rest, it was time to being the activity rotations. Teams had two sessions after lunch. We adjusted a couple of activities in the second period because of distant thunder, but as of the writing of this entry, we still haven't had rain today at camp.
The teams followed this schedule.
Purple Team: Check in, warm ups, lunch, archery, cooperative games
Red Team: Check in, warm ups, lunch, giant swing, rock climbing
Yellow Team: Check in, warm ups, lunch, rock climbing, board games
Blue Team: Check in, warm ups, lunch, cooperative games, archery
Gray Team 1 (teens): Check in, warm ups, lunch, rock climbing, basketball
Gray Team 2 (teens): Check in, warm ups, lunch, Ultimate Frisbee, rock climbing
Campers are about to finish their final activity of the afternoon. Soon they will have their showers and a short rest time before dinner. After dinner, campers will have time to write in their journals before we begin the evening program. Tonight is the opening campfire. We will sing songs, play games, and roast marshmallows to finish off the first day of camp.

As for the Dropbox link below, not all folders will have pictures added every day. The first few days, most pictures are sorted by team, not activity. Some activities lead to more picture taking opportunities. If some teams have more pictures than other teams, we will try and even it out by the end of the week (but no promises!!). We do our best, but our main concern is your campers' safety and programming, pictures are a distant fourth or fifth (even though they may be number one to you). Please note, we will not reply to emails about photos. Enjoy.
