Mandarin Camp 2020 Day 5

Dear Parents,

We finally had a little rain today and it served as a nice way for everyone to cool off after a week of sunshine. It wasn't much, but we were all appreciative. The morning started with two Frisbee activities. The Blue Team played Frisbee Golf, while the Red Team played Ultimate Frisbee. Things were very competitive during the latter activity, but I managed to behave myself for the most part. The children, of course, were great.

During the second activity period, some campers chose to do archery a second time, while others chose rock climbing. During these periods, campers had the chance to try and pass level tests in each discipline.

After lunch, the teams took turns on the Zipline. The Blue Team went shrimping as well, while the Red Team had a formal Ecology lesson. It was in the afternoon, that the rains came. One clap of thunder sent us inside for a bit, but we managed to get through both activities without a problem.

Soon campers will be heading to the dining room for their last dinner and evening program. We will have our closing campfire tonight and have arranged some special treats for them. They've done a great job and have proven to be the perfect group of kids with whom to open our 2020 season! Thank you for sending them to us.

Goodnight from Camp Taiwan,

Mike

As for the Dropbox link below, not all folders will have pictures added every day. The first few days, most pictures are sorted by team, not activity. Some activities lead to more picture taking opportunities. If some teams have more pictures than other teams, we will try and even it out by the end of the week (but no promises!!). We do our best, but our main concern is your campers' safety and programming, pictures are a distant fourth or fifth (even though they may be number one to you). Please note, we will not reply to emails about photos. Enjoy.

Please find a Dropbox Link below. Photos will be uploaded to this folder every evening -- usually by 8 p.m.
