AST Day 2
Dear Parents,
We had expected rainy weather but were pleasantly surprised with a beautiful second day of camp. The day began with the morning bell and campers, counselors and teachers gathered in the main hall for breakfast. Our 8th graders left immediately after breakfast to go to the beach for ocean kayaking. Sixth and 7th graders returned to their tents to prepare for their activities at camp. Teams followed this schedule.
Purple Team (grade 6): Archery, cooperative games, lunch, river tracing, wide game
Yellow Team (grade 6): Cooperative games, river tracing, lunch, archery, wide game
Blue Team (grade 7): Giant swing, archery, lunch, rock climbing, wide game
Red Team (grade 7): Rock climbing, zip line, lunch, giant swing, wide game
Brown Team (grade 8): Kayaking, lunch, craft, wide game
Gray Team (grade 8): Kayaking, lunch, zip line, wide game
Campers are now all together playing their camp wide game all across lower camp. They are screaming, laughing and chasing one another around in a quest to be the winning team. Today is the busiest day of camp and we aren't finished yet. After showers and dinner, campers will write in their journals and get ready for the evening program. Tonight is party night. They will sing, dance and play games until they (and their teachers) retire exhaustedly to their tents for the last sleep of camp.
