12:00 Noon: Lunch Time! Everyone heads back to the dining hall for lunch. Meals alternate between Chinese and Western food. The campers set the table, sing a song and settle down to a big meal. Despite eating a big breakfast, everyone is hungry again.

~12:50 to 2:00 Rest time: After lunch, Everyone goes back to the tent area for a rest time. The campers don't have to sleep during this time, but they do need to stay in their tents or on the balcony (yes, each tent has a small balcony). This gets the kids out of the sun during the hottest part of the day, and it gives the kids some time to socialize. The counselors stop in and see how they are doing, and spend a bit of time perhaps playing cards or just chatting. This time spent together in small groups is a big part of what camp is all about. Kids learn to entertain themselves and cooperate in a group.

2:00: In the afternoon, campers take part in two more activity periods, similar to the morning schedule. One of these is often a camp-wide game. These games might involve teams competing against each other, campers challenging the counselors, or individual competitions where one or a few campers come out on top.

5:00: The activity period end and the campers all return to their tents for a shower.

6:00: Once again, it is back to the dining hall for dinner. After dinner, they spend a little time writing in their journals before the evening program.

~7:00: Our evening program begins. It is a different activity each night. The first night is always our opening campfire. We sing some traditional camp songs, and the counselors may put on a skit or play some games. We end the evening roasting marshmallows for s'mores.
Other evening programs include a night wide game, or movie night on Wednesdays. On Thursdays, we have our Party Night. It is one of the campers' favorite evening programs. The counselors host games like you would see in an American carnival or Taiwanese night market. At the end of the night, we turn down the lights and turn up the music for a big dance party. Friday, we have our closing campfire. We have a candlelight ceremony where the kids can reflect on a week of camp. Then each of the teams performs a skit they have worked on for the afternoon.
7:00 AM: The wake-up bell rings and the campers get up, brush their teeth, etc. to get ready for the day. They have a tent meeting with their counselor who lets them know what they will be doing that day, and makes sure they have everything they need for the day.

8:00: All campers meet in the Dining hall for a big breakfast. Food is a big part of camp life. We go out of our way to make sure that meals are both nutritious and delicious. Our own kitchen prepares balanced meals that alternate between Western and Chinese cuisine.

When they have finished eating, they often have a bit of free time during which they may spend some time writing in their journals or have some free time to play Uno or similar games.

9:00: The first activity period begins. We have two 90-minute activity periods in the morning and two in the afternoon. The campers are divided into teams of 12 to 15 campers, and they will rotate through the activities as a team. Activities include climbing, archery, giant swing, zipline, crafts, river tracing and more.

10:30: The second activity period begins. Campers refill their water bottles and move to their new activity.

2:30: Campers head to their first afternoon activity. It could be trying a hand at archery, climbing to the top of the climbing wall, following the small river the that runs through camp, or one of our High Rope activities.

4:00: The second afternoon activity period is often a camp-wide game. These games might involve teams competing against each other, campers challenging the counselors, or individual competitions where one or a few campers come out on top. One of the favorites is our special water wide game. The game can change from week to week, but it always involves lots of splashing, which is very welcome on a hot afternoon.

5:30: The activity period end and the campers all return to their tents for a shower. They have an hour to take a break and get ready for dinner.
